Grass Drags 2004

Alright Rick, Im updating this for your viewing pleasure!

Fierce Competition

Eagle River Reunion

My 79 7500 against Paul on the 78 6500. Paul got me out of the hole every time, but he didnt seem to have much top end power. It was still impressive considering it was siezed up from Vintagefest the week before.

I ended up getting a 3rd in 0-340 stock L/C on friday night, 3rd in 0-340 mod on friday night, and 2nd in 0-340 stock L/C on saturday. Paul placed 3rd in the final on saturday. Scott placed 1st on friday night in 0-250 mod on Kieth Warnings 1978 ski doo 250 IFS sno pro. He also placed 1st in 341-440 L/C stock on the 77 ski doo blizzard "super stocker". The 440 mod IFS sno pro made the final on saturday, but did not get to run due to dirt getting into a carb.

Me Against a Sno Twister in the stock class.
If I recall, he beat me on friday night, but I jumped out of the hole really well on saturday, and won. The watchfull tuner making sure he gets a full report into "The Trigger".
Deb Priebie(sp?) and Paul in Stock form.

Debbie Priebie on her 78 6500 (Black Beauty) against paul on the 78 6500 in the stock class. I believe paul took this one away.

Scorpions at the Eagle

Dennis Kutz of Green Lake (director of the Coca Cola Vintagefest) brought his 1972 Scorpion super stinger 440 fan out to play. It is the stock 440 fan with scorpion factory mod pipes, and twin mikunis added by dennis. It really moved, but didnt fare well considering it was running against 440 mod F/A in lighter chassis with forward engine. It was great to see some scorpions out there!

1973 Blizzard G/R 440

Bob Trez brought his 1973 Blizzard Grass Racer 440. It is a true G/R, having the 71 elan skis, fiberglass bellypan, and bogy wheel suspension. I belive there are 5 known to exist. This is serial number 3.

Factory Racer

Another one of Bobs show sleds. The hood and seat can be documented that they came from Gaston Ferdlands factory racer. Gaston customized the hood himself, and also had the seat pleated with black and yellow. 1 of 1.
